Product Overview
A straight resistance-heating layout with cold ends positioned for the selected furnace connection arrangement. Type M elements are often specified when a conventional straight heater must match an existing opening, support position and electrical circuit.
Applications
Useful for laboratory furnaces, heat-treatment equipment, ceramic kilns and engineered replacements where the installer can provide reliable dimensional and electrical records.
Selection Data
Confirm the hot-zone length, cold-end length, diameter, overall length and nominal resistance. Furnace temperature alone is not enough: atmosphere, cycling, mounting direction and transformer tap range also influence the design.
Installation And Service Considerations
Element spacing, terminal ventilation, support design and expansion clearance affect operating stability. New and aged elements may have different electrical behaviour, so circuit grouping and transformer adjustment should be reviewed during maintenance. Avoid mechanical stress during unpacking and installation, and keep conductive contamination away from terminals and insulation.
Replacement Reference
For a replacement project involving Kanthal Globar, I Squared R or Tokai EREMA equipment, the customer should send the original drawing or element markings. The comparison is technical only and does not imply an authorized relationship.
Quotation Checklist
For a faster technical response, include the furnace manufacturer and model when known, photographs of the complete element and both terminals, a sketch with dimensions, the required quantity and the reason for replacement. If an old sample is available, retain it until the proposed dimensions and resistance have been agreed.
Technical Review Before Production
A heating element should not be selected from appearance alone. Send the existing drawing, readable markings, overall and sectional dimensions, nominal resistance, voltage, power and quantity. Also identify the furnace temperature, atmosphere, cycle frequency and mounting orientation. These details allow the proposed geometry to be checked before a quotation or production drawing is issued.
Supply Scope And Important Notice
Type M SiC Heating Elements can be supplied in standard or customer-specific dimensions after technical confirmation. The final proposal applies only to the reviewed drawing and operating conditions. Brand and furnace-maker names, when mentioned, identify the customer’s existing equipment; they do not imply authorization, endorsement or a universal drop-in replacement.
